The Turkish government objected on Wednesday to a reference to the "Mediterranean Union" (MedUnion) in the communiqué of a meeting of the European-Mediterranean (Euromed) trade ministers in Marseille, in a similar move as France's attempts to remove the word "accession" from every EU document on Turkey.
